Here are some questions you should ask when searching for a staffing agency:

  • How long have you been in business?
  • How does the hiring process work?
  • Do I have the ability to be involved in the applicant selection process (i.e. interviewing, viewing resumes, etc.)
  • How do you recruit and retain your candidates?
  • How are your potential employees screened?
  • What is the tenure and experience of the agency’s staff?
  • Are you a member of the American Staffing Association?
  • Are your staff members Certified Staffing Professionals?
  • How many candidates do you interview each month?
  • Interview firms that specialize in your industry.
  • Don't make a decision based on cost alone—be sure to compare apples to apples—how experienced is the agency in your industry, does the cost include background checks or drug screening, etc.
