Here are some questions you should ask when searching for a staffing agency:

- How does the hiring process work?
- Do I have the ability to be involved in the applicant selection process (i.e. interviewing, viewing resumes, etc.)
- How do you recruit and retain your candidates?
- How are your potential employees screened?
- What is the tenure and experience of the agency’s staff?
- Are you a member of the American Staffing Association?
- Are your staff members Certified Staffing Professionals?
- How many candidates do you interview each month?
- Interview firms that specialize in your industry.
- Don't make a decision based on cost alone—be sure to compare apples to apples—how experienced is the agency in your industry, does the cost include background checks or drug screening, etc.
